Beaches are sad places. It has this melancholic peace about it.
Two people have asked me, in different ways why I seem so lonely.
And I have to wonder...is that how I appear to others?

I've decided to get another blog.
Maybe its a pyschological inablity to merge both extremes of my personalities, or my odd collection of interests that makes it hard to blog about 'serious' and 'fun' stuff together.
King Chai says I'm all wrong..can't be serious when I have to and a total kill-joy when it comes to having fun. ( Not in these exact words though...his sentences are usually like him-straightforward and un-fancy :P )

The link at the side under 'elsewhere' leads to my 2nd blog.
Its probably more like my ramblings about various issues I'm thinking through or stuff that pops up in conversations with others.
So, 2 blogs..lets see which will outlast the other :)

ring-a-ling

I once had a thing for rings. Mood rings, toe-rings, with sparkly stuff, simple silver ones, ethnic printed ones..except diamond ones 'tho... :P
As with all fads..it wore off and now I have this collection of rings languishing in the drawer.Ah well.
I like keeping my fingers and arms bare..jewellery tends to distract me and get in the way. Or rather its because I'm just purely lazy to bother with keeping them clear of knocks, bumps and scratches. :)
Happened to come across some interesting 'ring' sites:


The McDonald family, this was before society turned crass and lost its taste for the finer things in life, causing mass production of cheap weird looking toys...The McDonald family had plot and personality okay!


This ones are just...odd,especially the green one with tentacle/sucker like things.


The compass-ring. Ingenious? I dunno..first its kinda hard to see due to the miniscule size..and of course there's the issue of walking about with your hand held out in front of you.

And these I just really like.
The one the right is really awesome. Some kind of silver+glass thing. And its BIG!
It would cover your finger from the first to the second knuckle yo. Or if you have fingers like mine: 3/4 of the finger.

So, with my dad semi-fainting, a friend in the hospital and another with a sprained back..its been quite the quiet weekend.

During Sunday worship today..I happened to glance around and was just filled with a sense of utter and complete wonder.

No, not at prostrate worshippers or entralled believers but rather,wonder at the number of people who came to church just to go home the same way.
I know, who am I to judge. Afterall the Spirit moves in ways no one can comprehend.
But honestly. What drives these people to church every Sunday when there's no significant change or benefit?

What an utter waste of time.

Yet there's something that gets people up early on Sunday morning,to sit through 2 hours of routine.

Are they looking for God?Am I?

maybe trouble

i like to be in command. i don't like office politics. i don't like offices. i suck at trying to please other people. i hate meetings which go nowhere.
i have this feeling i'm going the wrong way in my undergrad choice.
is it too late to take up my aunt's offer of that florida assisant cum tourist job? afterall...there are people who do take a gap year right? right?!
