Pain

So much injustice in the world, so much suffering.
I used to question the existence of a good God, or even a superior being governing the universe.
He has made me see, that the compassion I feel, or any other human for that matter is a reflection-a sign that points towards a love greater than man's empathy.

If I hurt, how much more the Creator must hurt.

The art of growing

Oh the joys of being on holiday :)
Actually have time to just sit and think, read.
Essential elements of a examined life.

This makes it 1/2 a year of practicing independent living.
How do some people live their whole lives in the same place?
I suppose there are the benefits of familiarity, social ties..etcetc.
Wonderlust?

So what exactly are the first things one learns living alone?
People are humans. Regardless.
In giving the unfamiliar a chance, you open a limitless avenue of learning.
Note of course, that learning in this context is neither negative nor positive.

And I'm off for the semester break!
Looking forward to exotic insect meals, a different world, sand surf and plenty of catching up.
You guys have fun now, ya'hear?

Stevenson

Farewell, fair day and fading light!
The clay-born here, with westward sight,
Marks the huge sun now downward soar.
Farewell. We twain shall meet no more.

Farewell. I watch with bursting sigh
My late condemned occasion die.
I linger useless in my tent:
Farewell, fair day, so foully spent!

Farewell, fair day. If any God
At all consider this poor clod,
He who the fair occasion sent
Prepared and placed the impediment.

Let him diviner vengeance take -
Give me to sleep, give me to wake
Girded and shod, and bid me play
The hero in the coming day!
